SUPPORT LOCAL - 4th JULY 2020

The country is excited for the opening of pubs tomorrow (4th July), but there are more ways to support your local pub than simply buying a few drinks. Here are a few things you can do to help your local during these new times.

BOOK A TABLE

With pubs having to implement social distancing there is going to be a limited capacity to ensure that social distancing can be carried out effectively. It's important that you call your local venue to book a place in advance to avoid disappointment and to avoid putting staff under unnecessary pressures.

SOCIAL DISTANCE

Everyone wants the pubs to stay open, so please help them by sticking to the guidelines. It is as much your responsibility to stick to the guidelines as it is for the pubs. If we as a nation stick together and ensure we stick to the guidelines we can enjoy our summer safely. So please don't be the one to ruin this for everyone!

BE PATIENT

The 4th of July is opening day in a new world, please be patient as staff try and find their feet in these strange times. There are inevitably going to be hiccups but your patience will be greatly appreciated from all staff and venues. Many venues will have changed ownership, changed staff and will now be trying to find out if their new systems work.

MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION

Although the pubs are opening, it doesn't mean you have to go! If you don't feel comfortable going to your local pub just yet then don't feel pressured to go. Everyone is going to need to adapt to this new world and it's important that you do this at your own pace.

YOU CAN STILL SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FROM HOME

Social media is more important than ever right now. Whether you choose to go to your local pub or stay at home, you can still engage with your favourite pubs via social media and help them reach more people. Every like, comment and share  helps your local pubs content be seen by more people, it can really go a long way! It might seem like a small thing but simply 'liking' posts is a huge help and is a great way to support your local pubs.

Enjoy your weekend, be safe and support local!
